چکیده
An Earth-Air Heat Exchanger (EAHE) is a device that consists of one or more buried ducts through which air forced to flow. The surrounding soil responsible for enabling thermal exchanges along with the installation, making temperature at outlet milder than inlet. objective this work ally numerical-analytical approach Constructal Design method and Exhaustive Search technique minimize volume occupation (V), flow pressure drop (PD), maximize potential (TP) T-shaped EAHE. Starting from conventional EAHE composed straight duct, called Reference Installation (RI), two degrees freedom (DOF) were considered: ratio between length bifurcated branch main (L1/L0) diameter (D1/D0). Comparing RI, different geometries identified reduce V by 23% PD 62% increase TP 21%; when these three performance parameters concomitantly considered another geometric configuration allowed reach an improvement around 27% compared RI.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Constructal design of tree-shaped conductive pathways for cooling a heat generating volume
Constructal design is used to study heat removal from a square heated body with a tree shaped high thermal conductivity pathways embedded in the body. The objective is to minimize the defined maximum dimensionless temperature difference for the body. The thermal conductivity of the body is low, and there is a uniform heat generation on it. The volume of the body is fixed. The amount of high con...

In the present work the ground temperature has been validated for climatic condition of Sriperumbudur near Chennai, India to evaluate thermal conductivity and diffusivity of the soil. For the evaluated thermal conductivity of the soil, an EAHE has been designed for a given dimension of room with optimized values of number of air changes, length of pipe, radius of pipe and depth at which heat ex...
متن کاملHeat transfer enhancement due to air bubble injection into a horizontal double pipe heat exchanger
If an air flow is injected into a liquid fluid, many ambulant air bubbles are formed inside the fluid. Air bubbles move inside the liquid fluid because of the buoyancy force, and the mobility of these air bubbles makes sizable commixture and turbulence inside the fluid. This mechanism was employed to enhance the heat transfer rate of a horizontal double pipe heat exchanger in this paper. Howeve...
متن کاملConstructal Theory Applied to the Geometric Optimization of Elliptical Cavities into a Solid Conducting Wall
This work reports, according to Bejan’s Constructal theory, the geometric optimization of an elliptical cavity that intrudes into a solid conducting wall. The objective is to minimize the global thermal resistance between the solid and the cavity. There is uniform heat generation on the solid wall. The cavity is optimized for two sets of thermal conditions: isothermal cavity and cavity bathed b...
